α) σχέδια β) 3 διαφορετικοί τίτλοι επάνω στη πρώτη σελίδα, 1ος "Νύχτες Οργής", 2ος "Δοκίμιο για ορχήστρα", 3ος "Θέματα και παραλλαγές". 2 σημειώματα, 1ο "Στη μουσική δημιουργία νομίζω ότι δεν μπορεί κανείς να καθορίσει, εκ των προτέρων, τα πλαίσια μέσα στα οποία θα κινηθεί ένα έργο._ Αυτό αντανακλά την ψυχική διάθεση του δημιουργού, ή καλύτερα, την ψυχική διάθεση του δημιουργού την ώρα της δημιουργίας._ Έτσι, ένας τίτλος θα γεννηθεί ύστερα και σε συνέχεια από το δημιούργημα._ Και πρέπει να είναι τέτοιος που συνοπτικά να δείχνει σε τι ψυχικό-συναισθηματικό κλίμα κινείται το έργο._ Οι "Νύχτες Οργής" καθορίζουν το κλίμα του έργου._ Το τοποθετούν στην περιοχή του σκοτεινού και έντονου πάθους. Δεν το προγραμματίζουν αφήνοντας τον ακροατή να το τοποθετήσει μέσα στα μάτια της υποκειμενικής του εμπειρίας. Θα 'θελα να 'λεγα και δύο λόγια για το γενικό τίτλο "Δοκίμιο" που ασφαλώς δίνει την εντύπωση προσπάθειας μέσα στα πλαίσια μίας απρογραμμάτιστης αναζήτησης. Ένα είδος συμφωνικού αυτοσχεδιασμού. Δεν εννοώ όμως αυτό. Το έργο βασίζεται σε αρχιτεκτονικούς κανόνες σχεδόν παρόμοιους προς τη φόρμα της σονάτας. Στηρίζεται ολόκληρο πάνω σε 3 θέματα που αναπτύσσονται συμφωνικά. Διαφέρει απ' αυτήν στο ότι ξεφεύγει από τους αυστηρούς κλασικούς κανόνες, αναζητώντας και καταλήγοντας στην αναγκαία ελευθερία που του επιτρέπει να εκφρασθεί απλά και πρωτόγονα. a) sketches b) various titles on the first pages, 1st "Nights of violence", 2nd "Essay for Orchestra", 3rd "Themes and variations". 2 notes: 1st "In a musical composition, I think, nobody can determine, at the beginning, the framework in which it will move. This reflects the physicological disposition of the composer, or more precisely the psychological mood of the composer at the moment of creation. Thus, a title a title will emerge afterwards, following the composition. And it must be such as will reveal and encapsulate what sort of psychological and emotional climate the work moves in. "Nights of Violence" reflects the atmosphere of the work. It situates it in the region of dark, intense passions. It does not program it leaving the listener to place in the the eyes of his subjective experience. I would also like to say a few words about the general title "essay" which certainly gives the impression of effort within the framework of a spontaneous reflection. It is a kind of symphonic improvisation. But I don't mean that. The work is based on structural rules almost similar in form to the sonata. It is all based on three themes which are symphonically developed. It differs from this in that it departs from the strict classical rules, exploring and moving towards the necessary freedom which allows it be expressed simply and in an original way.
